The 2008 European Cycle Messenger Championships are taking place in Eindhoven, 25th - 28th July. Eindhoven, according to the organisers, is the largest city in the South of the Netherlands. Not particularly known for its splendour or historical appeal – because there just ain’t any. A stretched L.A. quality. This industrial and High Tech booming town is where lightbulbs evolved, where farmers run the shit, design rules and inhabitants Rock the place and travel regularly into space by UFO. The organisers, Tour de Ville, say that the race-course and camp-site are in the middle of the city. Eindhoven is less than 300 miles from London.
The Dutch are offering a reduced rate (boy, that must have hurt!) of €40 registration fee till March 31st. So get clicking!
